Access to the Laserlab-Europe facilities: Changes and actions in view of the COVID-19 pandemic

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, travelling to perform Transnational Access Projects funded through Laserlab-Europe had to be postponed. Users are still encouraged to apply for TNA and we look forward to welcoming users at our facilities when this will be possible again. Specific actions currently address research in the contex of COVID-19.

Covid-19 Rapid Call for Access to the CLF's Octopus Facility

The UK's Central Laser Facility (CLF) is inviting rapid access proposals to its Octopus imaging facility for research relevant to the SARS-CoV-2 virus and COVID-19. The Octopus facility offers a comprehensive range of optical microscopy instruments and techniques including super-resolution (PALM/STORM, SIM, and STED, including STORM at cryogenic temperatures), single molecule imaging and tracking, light sheet microscopy, FRET-FLIM, and optical trapping/tweezers. We also offer a Zeiss Crossbeam cryo FIB-SEM with “slice and view" capability. More information on how to apply for time is available here >>

Third access call to VEGA (CLPU) postponed

Due to the situation generated by COVID-19, the Spanish Center for Pulsed Lasers must postpone the publication of the third competitive open access call to VEGA. Nevertheless,  a preliminary version of this third call can be found here >>
