How to get to the hotel from the airport

Zagreb Airport (Franjo Tuđman Airport Zagreb, IATA: ZAG) is an international airport with regular flights to Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Vienna, Munich, Brussels, Paris, Zurich, Copenhagen, Warsaw, Belgrade etc.

There is a shuttle bus every 30 minutes from the Zagreb Airport to the Zagreb Bus Station (“Autobusni kolodvor Zagreb”). Trip duration is 35-40 min, and the price for a one-way ticket is 8 €. Tickets can be bought online. You can also find the timetable and additional information on the same link.

From the bus station, take the tram nr. 6 (direction “Črnomerec”), see map. The tram runs every 10 minutes and it takes about 10-15 min to get to the main square (“Trg bana Josipa Jelačića”). The hotel is 50 meters walk from the tram stop. The tram ticket is 0.53 € and can be bought on any newspaper stand (several can be found on the entrance/exit of the bus station). You can walk the same route, it will take about 30 min.

There is also taxi service available at the airport: The taxi stand for arriving passengers is available at the Passenger Terminal, located in the vicinity of the Ground Floor, Arrivals level of the Terminal. According to the Zagreb Airport’s website, a ride by taxi to Hotel Dubrovnik will cost 32.00 EUR (flatrate).

How to get to the hotel from the train station

From the Zagreb main train station there is a nice 10 min walk that follows the city-center’s parks to the main square. Alternatively, one can take the tram nr. 6 (direction “Črnomerec”) from the train station to the main square (trip takes about 5 min, ticket is 0.53 €, ticket available on any newsstand).

How to get from the hotel to the venue by public transport

Venue: CALT, Institute of Physics, Bijenička cesta 46, Zagreb

There is a public bus that goes from just across the Zagreb Cathedral to the venue (see map below). To get to the bus station walk across the main square and head towards the Cathedral, it will take about 5 min to the bus station. Take any of the bus lines nr. 106, 201, 203, 226, 238, and get off at “Institut Ruđer Bošković”. The drive is about 5 min and it passes by the institute (see photo bellow, the bus stop is just after the institute’s building). Bus ticket is 0.53 € and can be bought on the newsstands on the main square.

In addition, a transport has been organised from Hotel Dubrovnik to the venue:

We have organized a bus from Hotel Dubrovnik to the venue (CALT, Institute of Physics). The bus is scheduled for 8:15am on 29.11.2023. The bus will leave from the hotel parking lot, please see the map below on how to get from the hotel entrance to the hotel parking lot. Head left from the hotel entrance and enter a passage that will lead you right to the parking. It is about 100 m walk.
