Assistant Professor position in High Energy Density Physics, École Polytechnique, Paris, France
Applicants should have a strong expertise in experimental or theoretical HEDP, and ideally in both. The teaching project (60 h/year) will focus mainly on plasma physics at the first year master level (third year of Ecole Polytechnique). The ability and motivation to participate also in teaching general physics courses in Ecole Polytechnique’s Bachelor program or in the first or second year of its engineering cycle are an additional asset, as is the ability to contribute to project-based teaching and to strengthen the links between teaching and research.
The position comes with funding for PhD students and startup money to carry out experimental campaigns.
