ICFO is offering more than 20 postdoctoral positions to well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientists who wish to enhance their scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment.

ICFO is a research center located in the Mediterranean Technology Park in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, and currently hosts 400+ people, including researchers, PhD students and staff personnel. Today, in its area of specialization and category, the institute is consistently ranked among the highest-quality research institutions worldwide.

We are in constant growth, and we currently have more than 20 Post-doctoral open positions, to join the different research groups in ICFO, focused on the areas of: 

  • Advanced & Quantum Materials
  • Energy & Environment
  • Quantum Science & Tech
  • Bionano & Med Photonics
  • Light & Matter
  • Ultra Fast Science

Candidates must hold an internationally-recognized Ph.D.-equivalent degree (or evidence of its completion in the nearest future).

Salaries for ICFO Postdoctoral positions are assigned by the Selection Committee, based on experience and seniority of the applicant, as well as the assigned tasks and responsibilities within the group. Standard salaries range from a lower level aligned with national Ramon-y-Cajal fellowships to higher levels aligned with Marie Skłodowska-Curie individual fellowships.

Additionally, a family allowance is also available on request and after corresponding approval for people with family charges in the terms described in the corresponding policy.
