Fabrication of nanomaterials for nonlinear optics (nanowires, nanorods, nanotubes, nanolayers, nanostructured bulk and nanolayer materials)
Ultrashort-pulsed laser excitation of semiconductor nanomaterials
Nonlinear spectroscopy of nanomaterials (pumpprobe experiments, Raman spectroscopy)
Specific nonlinear excitation channels of semiconductors (multiphoton absorption, harmonic generation)
Laser-induced periodic surface structuring on the nanoscale (generation of sub-wavelength and deep sub-wavelength structures with femtosecond lasers, polarization dependent LIPSS, influence of initial scatterers, dynamics, large area LIPPS, coherent linking)
3D materials processing on the nanoscale (mechanisms, state of the art)
Applications (nonlinear near field optics, sensors, photonics components such as waveguides, photodynamic therapy, photovoltaics, advanced pulse diagnostics)

Abstracts:

Deadline for Abstract Submission: March 15, 2011

Authors should submit a one-page abstract in English. Page format A4 with 2.5 cm margins on each side. Text should be written in Times New Roman (12 pt). The abstract should be prepared in Microsoft Word. Figures need to be included in the abstract. All abstracts will be reviewed by the program committee, and authors of accepted contributions will be informed by the organizers.

Please note that by submitting electronically to the above email address you agree to the publication of your abstract on Laserlab-Europe's homepage after the workshop has taken place. Selected contributions of the workshop will be published in a book at Springer Verlag.

There will be no registration fee. Registrations are also accepted from participants not presenting a paper.
