Laser technology is a key innovation driver for highly varied applications and products in areas such as energy, environment, information and communication, science, industry, consumer electronics, art conservation and entertainment and medicine. It plays a vital role in global high-tech industry and science and substantially contributes to economic growth.

The Laserlab-Europe conference will highlight scientific achievements and societal impacts of the network's activities to members and external partners from the industrial and health care sectors and from the user community. At the same time, it will provide a platform for discussing future collaboration options during the next few years.

The conference is collocated with the Joint JRA meeting on 9-10 October. Participants arriving on the day before the conference are invited to attend the open JRA sessions on 10 October and the dinner in the evening at Restaurant Cucina Torcicoda, Via Torta, 5/r, 50122 Firenze,  see Map >>

Accommodation

Hotel rooms in Florence can be booked through "Destination Florence", the Convention & Visitors Bureau. A few rooms at the Grand Hotel Adriatico (**** and corresponding rate) are available and can be booked through the form available here for download.

Important note: From October 9 to 11, Florence will host the most important Italian Education Trade fair, Didacta, with about 1500 attendees expected. For this reason we strongly recommend to book your accommodation in Florence well in advance.
