Postdoctoral position in theory of x-ray AMO physics at KTH, Sweden

A two-years theoretical postdoctoral position is immediately available (starting January 2024) in the research group of Dr. Victor Kimberg, Division of Theoretical Chemistry and Biology, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. The project “Complex electron-nuclear and propagation dynamics in intense x-ray pulses'' is financed by a scholarship from Carl Tryggers foundation and will focus on theory and software development for new techniques utilizing x-ray free electron laser facilities for studying electronic and ro-vibrational dynamics of molecules in linear and nonlinear interaction regimes.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in physics, theoretical chemistry, or related fields. Experience with theoretical AMO physics, theoretical chemistry, chemical physics are preferred. Candidates should have advanced programming skills (C++, Python, or similar), experience with theory and code developments for molecular simulations, excellent oral and written proficiency in English. Interested candidates should send their CV, complete publication list, a brief research summary, and contact information for two references to Dr. Victor Kimberg (kimberg@kth.se).
