Postdoc position Ultrafast dynamics of electron-driven processes, Radboud University, Nijmegen, The Netherlands.

A postdoc position is available in the Ultrafast Chemical Dynamics group, led by Dr Daniel Horke, at Radboud University in Nijmegen.

Within this project we will develop a novel approach to study electron-driven processes, such as dissociative electron attachment, with ultrafast time resolution. The successful applicant will be in charge of developing and implementing a short-pulse source of low-energy electrons, based on femtosecond laser-driven photoemission and realised using micro-machining techniques. This will be implemented into existing gas-phase spectrometers, utilising both time-of-flight and position-sensitive detectors, to enable the study of ultrafast dynamics in electron-driven chemical processes and reactions. The work will be conducted in our state-of-the-art femtosecond lab, using new high-repetition rate femtosecond fiber lasers.
