Postdoc in THz Acceleration and Generation at CFEL, DESY, Hamburg, Germany

There is an opening for a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Free-Electron Laser Science at DESY in "Terahertz Acceleration and Generation".

This project represents the next step in an on-going research program aimed at developing the emerging technology of terahertz-driven electron-beam acceleration and manipulation using laser-based sources. Building on recent successes, this step will aim to develop terahertz-driven modules for integration into an accelerator prototype and an ultrafast electron-diffraction instrument, which will represent a major milestone.

The position is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) excellence cluster “Advanced Imaging (AIM)” with a fixed-term contract of 2 years duration. The application deadline is June 30, 2023.
