PhD position in vibrational hydrate cluster spectroscopy in Göttingen, Germany

A 3-year PhD position is available in BENCh (https://www.uni-goettingen.de/en/587836.html), a research training group at the University of Göttingen dedicated to benchmark experiments and blind challenges at the service of quantum chemistry and quantum dynamics.

The project in the Suhm group builds on a recent successful blind challenge for the prediction of hydrogen bond effects in solvating water molecules (HyDRA, see doi.org/10.1039/D2CP01119K) and will generate new spectroscopic data for the rigorous testing of theoretical models, using a gas recycling concept for supersonic jet expansions (see doi.org/10.3390/instruments5010012).
