PhD position in Ultrafast Spectroscopy at CFEL / Hamburg University, Germany

An 3-year PhD position is available in the condensed phase dynamics group (Prof. Nils Huse) at CFEL/University of Hamburg.

The project will focus on Ultrafast spectroscopy of nanoscopic systems in non-equilibrium states using ultrafast infrared and optical spectroscopy as well as time-resolved X-ray methods. The project is embedded in the Hamburg center for ultrafast (imaging https://www.cui-advanced.uni-hamburg.de/en.html) with additional possible affiliation within the international Max Planck research school IMPRS-UFAST (https://www.mpsd.mpg.de/imprs).

Highly-motivated candidates with a Master’s degree in physics, physical chemistry or a related field are encouraged to apply by email (nils.huse@uni-hamburg.de) or via IMPRS-UFAST.
