PhD position at attoworld Munich, Germany

A new PhD position opening is available for the "Development of ultra-stable dual-oscillator mid-infrared laser systems" within the attoworld team at the Max-Planck Institute of Quantum Optics and Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich (Germany).

The successful candidate will work on Cr-based oscillator technology for field-resolved mid-infrared metrology. A particular focus will be on the active stabilization of CEP, repetition rate and output intensity of the oscillators, and on the development of dual-oscillator scanning techniques. As part of the attoworld team the candidate will work in state-of-the-art laboratories, supported by a large team of experts in the field, and have access to latest laser and optical coating technology.

For application, please send a CV with a motivation letter, the master/study transcripts and the earliest starting date to alexander.weigel@mpq.mpg.de
