One PhD and one postdoc position in multidimensional XUV photoelectron spectroscopy at the University of Freiburg, Germany

The University of Freiburg offers a fully-funded PhD and postdoc position in multidimensional XUV photoelectron spectroscopy. The project is lead by Lukas Bruder in the framework of an ERC starting grant at the University of Freiburg, Germany. The PhD position is open for the full duration, the postdoc position is initially open for 1 year with possible extension of up to 5 years.
The candidates will tackle important challenges in molecular photochemistry using a new experimental approach which will be built during the project. The experiment combines molecular/cluster beam techniques, XUV time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy based on tabletop high harmonic generation and interferometric detection techniques adapted from coherent multidimensional spectroscopy. For some preliminary work see references below.

In addition to the scientific training, we will particularly support the career development of the candidates. Both positions will be integrated in the graduate school DynCAM (rtg-dyncam.de) offering an excellent scientific environment for junior researchers.
