Experimental Postdoctoral Position in Ultrafast Molecular Spectroscopy and Dynamics at University of California San Diego, USA

A postdoc position is available in the Yong Lab in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at University of California San Diego (USA). Our group focuses on studying ultrafast light-induced processes in molecules using ultrafast spectroscopy and scattering techniques. For more details, see https://sites.google.com/ucsd.edu/yong

Candidate who holds (or expects to receive) a PhD degree in Physical Chemistry, Chemical Physics, Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics or related fields is required. Expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred:  x-ray scattering/spectroscopy using synchrotron or free-electron lasers; ultrafast laser spectroscopy; velocity map imaging; gas/liquid phase experiments; ultrafast electron diffraction; quantum chemistry and ultrafast dynamics of molecules.

To apply: Please email Prof. Haiwang Yong at hyong@ucsd.edu to apply. Application should include: 1) a brief cover letter (less than one page) summarizing previous research experiences and potential project interests; 2) a CV with a complete publication list; and 3) contact information for three references.
