Laserlab-Europe Talks - Call for Proposals

Laserlab-Europe Talks

The idea

Laserlab-Europe represents outstanding scientific and technical skills and world-leading know-how which is distributed among its partners.

Therefore, Laserlab-Europe intends to initiate a series of online events on specific topics (thematic or research-specific) of common interest as a means to boost the global effectiveness of the Consortium and raise visibility of the joint research and innovation potential. Laserlab-Europe Talks are to provide a platform for regular information exchange and knowledge sharing to exploit complementarities and to increase the competitiveness of our network.

The talks will take place bi-weekly on Wednesday afternoon at 16:00 CET. They will be advertised on our website and social media channels (LinkedIn and Facebook) and made available on YouTube (or similar) with the speakers’ permission and if confidentiality is not required. They will be targeted at a relatively broad audience from PhD students to experts in the field and industrial partners as appropriate.

The format

The format is flexible and can be adapted to specific needs on a case-by-case basis. It should be limited in time (from 30 minutes to two hours) and should foresee one or more presentations and time for discussion,i.e.,the event could have the format of a conference or provide a round table for discussion.

The interested institutions should propose the topic and speaker/s.

The logistics and the promotion will be managed by Laserlab-Europe.

If you would like to organise a Laserlab-Europe Talk please send the title, a brief description of the talks (including duration and format, e.g.: 1 presentation of 30 minutes and 15 minutes discussion), the proposed speakers and your preferred dates to the Laserlab Office.
