Access User Training for Advanced Optical Techniques in Bio-imaging and Bio-processing (OPTBIO)

3rd Call for applications for short-term training visits at CLLC

Short-term training visits are designed to increase the experience of potential European Users and to provide special experimental skills and competencies in the scientific area related to the JRA OPTBIO to European scientists. The activities aim to develop the user community, to reach new scientific sub-communities in a multi-disciplinary perspective and to enhance the efficient use of the facilities in this field. Training actions will cover topics in the fields of Laser analysis and manipulation of biological samples, advanced microscopy and bio-medical imaging.

Support for short-term training visits (typically 2 to 4 weeks) of scientists will be granted on the basis of applications for research projects which will be evaluated by a committee of experts. Applications should include a description of the research proposal, a statement on how the training will enable the applicant to enhance his/her own research programme, a C.V. and a list of publications. Applications are accepted from researchers or research teams based in one of the EU Member States or in one of the Associated Countries.

Support for visiting researchers will include access to the facility, scientific and technical training and assistance, reimbursement of travel costs as well as a daily allowance.
