27-28 March, LASERLAB II Kick-off Meeting

The Inauguration Ceremony was held at ICFO, Barcelona. Professor Lluis Torner, Director of the Institute of Photonic Science ICFO, hosted the event. The importance and European dimension of the project have been emphasized in addresses given by Dr Montserrat Torné, Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, Mr Ramon Moreno Amich, Director General for Research of the Government of Catalonia and Mr Herve Pero Head of Unit Research Infrastructure of the European Commission. The event was also attended by Professor Andreu Mas-Colell, next ERC Secretary General, who kindly agreed to give the after dinner speech during the reception and dinner event on the evening of 27th of March.

The Laserlab II Kick-off Meeting will be held on the 27/28 March at ICFO in the seaside town of Castelldefels, in the metropolitan Barcelona area.

Agenda:	The reception for the kick-off ceremony will start on Friday 27 at 15:00. After the ceremony and an optional lab tour, transport to Barcelona city center will be organised. Transport to the evening event is organised leaving at 19:45 from the hotel Barcelo Raval. On Saturday 28 a bus will leave the hotel to ICFO at 9:00.
