Partners - LULI
Laboratoire pour l'Utilisation des Lasers Intenses, CNRS, Palaiseau, France
Description: Research centre dedicated to
high-energy high-power laser-matter interaction, LULI operates
and continuously upgrades two multi-beam laser and experimental
facilities, LULI2000 and the 100TW,
both providing unique opportunities to couple on target ns and ps (even
sub-100fs) pulses. Their versatility
allows covering many fields of research, from fundamental plasma
physics to high-energy-density physics
(including laboratory astrophysics or ICF), thanks to the availability
of up-to-date instrumentation and to
innovative diagnostic techniques using laser-based energetic particle
and radiation sources.
Excellence: High-energy high-power laser
technology, laser-produced plasma physics, particle &
radiation
secondary sources.
Main tasks: Participant in networking and joint research activities, Access providing infrastructure.
Previous experience: Transnational Access provider
since 1996 (29 projects funded by the EC since 2000),
active participation to the OTTER JRA (diode pumping, tiling of
compression gratings, etc.) and to
Networking activities (co-writing and analysis of User-oriented
questionnaires, meeting organization),
participation to the overall management of the Consortium (Access
Board)
